OppenheimerFunds Aims to Introduce 10,000 Kids by 2020 to Math Literacy
OppenheimerFunds believes in taking an active, hands-on approach to helping the communities where we work and live.
Math literacy is a critical skill for the next generation to acquire throughout their education. According to the National Assessment of Educational Program, 37% of American 12th graders were academically prepared for college math in 2015. In addition, only 7% of U.S. students reached advanced level eight-grade math.1
To help address this issue, OppenheimerFunds launched its 10,000 Kids by 2020 initiative to introduce and engage 10,000 students in math literacy programs through non-profit partnerships and active employee volunteerism.
