Vice President and Portfolio Manager
Benjamin Ram is a Co-Portfolio Manager of Oppenheimer Main Street Fund and a sector manager for financial investments. He joined OppenheimerFunds in May 2009.
Mr. Ram held positions with RS Investments since October 2006 and Guardian Life starting in January 2006. Before his role at Guardian Life, Mr. Ram was employed by Mercantile Bank, first as a financial analyst from 2003 – 2005, and later as a co-manager of the Mercantile Growth and Income Fund in 2005. From 2000 – 2003, Mr. Ram was a bank analyst at Legg Mason Securities. He spent the first five years of his career in the banking industry, most recently as senior financial analyst for Mergers and Acquisitions at CitiFinancial, a division of Citigroup.
Mr. Ram holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins University.
