Connect with OppenheimerFunds on Twitter
OppenheimerFunds sends out frequent Twitter messages—better known as "tweets"—about investment trends and ideas. These tweets help you stay abreast of the latest insights from our economists and portfolio managers on topics ranging from emerging markets to inflation to fixed income.
Why Do We Tweet?
We understand that in this fast-paced world, you want to be in the know—now—by giving you quick and easy access to content you can share.
As you may know, Twitter is a web- and mobile-based social network that allows individuals and companies to share short messages instantaneously. These messages are brief and can include links to websites, videos, or anything else online. You can read the individual tweets from any Twitter account on twitter.com, or on your mobile phone or device, such as an iPad. To receive everything a particular person or company sends out via Twitter, you can "follow" them (subscribe) for free. Setting up your own Twitter account allows you to build a following of your own, like making friends on Facebook or another social network. If you see something you like that was originally tweeted by someone else, you can forward those tweets (or "retweet" them) to the people who follow you.
Tweets are always 140 characters or less. Due to their brevity, they often feature "hashtags"—the "#" symbol with a word to categorize the message. Searching Twitter using a hashtag can help you find tweets on a certain topic.
