Bank of America Merrill Lynch 3-Month U.S. Treasury Bill Index 
The Bank of America Merrill Lynch 3-month U.S. Treasury Bill Index is an index of short-term U.S. Government securities with a remaining term to final maturity of less than three months.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch Municipal Master 1-3 Year Index
The Bank of America Merrill Lynch Municipal Master 1-3 Year Index is an unmanaged index that tracks the performance of investment grade U.S. tax-exempt bonds with remaining terms to final maturities of at least one year and less than three years.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch 3-7 Year Municipal Index 
The Bank of America Merrill Lynch 3-7 Year  Municipal Index is a subset of the Bank of America Merrill Lynch U.S. Municipal Securities Index including all securities with a remaining term to final maturity greater than or equal to 3 years and less than 7 years.

Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond Index 
The Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond Index is an index of U.S. dollar denominated, investment-grade U.S. corporate government and mortgage-backed securities.

Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond (1-3 year) Index (Linked)
The index returns for the Oppenheimer Limited-Term Bond Fund are made up of the returns of (i) the Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond (1-3 year) Index from August 1, 2013 to present and (ii) the Barclays U.S. Government Bond Index from January 1, 1992 through July 31, 2013.  The Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond (1-3) Index is a component of the Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond Index, and index of U.S.-dollar-denominated, investment-grade U.S. corporate government and mortgage-backed securities.  The Barclays U.S. Government Bond Index is composed of publicly issued, nonconvertible, domestic debt of the U.S. Government or any agency thereof, quasi-federal corporations, or corporate debt guaranteed by the U.S. Government.  Flower bonds and pass-through issues are excluded. 

Barclays Municipal 5 Yr (4-6) Index 
The Barclays 5-Year Municipal Bond Index is an unmanaged index of long-term, fixed-rate, investment-grade, tax-exempt bonds representative of the municipal bond market.  The index is the 5-year (4-6) component of the Barclays Municipal Bond Index.

Barclays U.S. Credit Index 
The Barclays U.S. Credit Index includes both corporate and non-corporate sectors. The corporate sectors are Industrial, Utility, and Finance, which include both U.S. and non-U.S. corporations. The non-corporate sectors are Sovereign, Supranational, Foreign Agency, and Foreign Local Government. The index is calculated monthly on price-only and total-return basis. All returns are market value-weighted inclusive of accrued interest.

Barclays U.S. 1-3 Year Government Bond Index 
The Barclays U.S. 1-3 Year Government Bond Index is composed of treasury bond and agency bond indices that have maturities of one to three years. 

Barclays U.S. Government Bond Index 
The Barclays U.S. Government Bond Index is composed of publicly issued, nonconvertible, domestic debt of the U.S. Government or any agency thereof, quasi-federal corporations, or corporate debt guaranteed by the U.S. Government.  Flower bonds and pass-through issues are excluded. Total return consists of price appreciation/depreciation plus income as a percentage of the original investment. 

Barclays U.S. Municipal Bond Index 
The Barclays U.S. Municipal Bond Index is an unmanaged index of a broad range of investment-grade municipal bonds that measures the performance of the general municipal bond market.

Barclays Municipal 1 Yr (1-2) Index
The Barclays 1-Year Municipal Bond Index is an unmanaged index of long-term, fixed-rate, investment-grade, tax-exempt bonds representative of the municipal bond market.  The index is the 1-year (1-2) component of the Barclays Municipal Bond Index.

Citigroup Non-US World Government Bond Index 
The Citigroup Non-U.S. World Government Bond Index is an index of fixed rate government bonds with a maturity of one year or longer and amounts outstanding of at least U.S. $25 million. 

Credit Suisse Leveraged Loan Index
The Credit Suisse Leveraged Loan Index is a composite index of senior loan returns representing an unleveraged investment in senior loans that is broadly based across the spectrum of senior  loans and includes reinvestment of income (to represent real assets).

Dow Jones UBS Commodity Index (linked index)
The index returns for the Commodity Strategy Total Return Fund are made up of the returns of (i) The S&P GSCI® Total Return Index through March 28, 2013, and (ii) The Dow Jones UBS Commodity Index from April 1, 2013 to present.  The Dow Jones UBS Commodity Index is a broadly diversified index that is composed of futures contracts on 20 physical commodities traded on U.S. futures exchanges, with the exception of aluminum, nickel, and zinc, which trade on the London Metal Exchange.  The S&P GSCI® Total Return Index is a composite index of commodity sector returns representing unleveraged, long-only investment in commodity futures across 24 commodities. 

FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Global Real Estate Index
The FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Global Real Estate Index is a stock market index managed by the European Public Real Estate Association and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and maintained by the Financial Times Index Group (FTSE). It is composed of property company constituents that trade on several global exchanges and designed to represent general trends in eligible listed real estate stocks worldwide.

FTSE NAREIT Equity REITs
The FTSE National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) Equity REITs Index consists of companies that own and operate income-producing real estate that have 75% or more of their respective gross invested assets in the equity or mortgage debt of commercial properties.

HFRI Fund Weighted Composite Index
The HFRI Fund Weighted Composite Index is a global, equal-weighted index of over 2,000 single-manager funds that report to HFR Database. Constituent funds report monthly net of all fees performance in U.S. Dollar and have a minimum of $50 million under management or a twelve (12) month track record of active performance. The HFRI Fund Weighted Composite Index’s returns are calculated three times each month and are subject to periodic recalculation by Hedge Fund Research, Inc. As a result, the HFRI Fund Weighted Composite Index returns shown may differ from the same Index’s returns for the same period published elsewhere. If subsequent recalculations cause the Index’s returns to change, the Fund does not expect to update the Index returns

Inverse J.P. Morgan U.S. Dollar Tradeable Currency Index 
Inverse J.P. Morgan U.S. Dollar Tradeable Currency Index is based on trade-weighted exchange rate indices and tracks the performance versus 16 major trading partners of the U.S. determined by 2000 trade data.  The construction of the Inverse J.P. Morgan U.S. Dollar Tradeable Currency Index is based on the same fundamental properties as the J.P. Morgan U.S. Dollar Tradeable Currency Index, however the exchange rates are based on the inverse relationship.  The inverse of the index tracks the performance of the foreign currencies versus the U.S. dollar.

J.P. Morgan 3-Month Global Cash Index
The J.P. Morgan 3-Month Global Cash Index (expressed in USD) is an equal-weighted aggregate of the cash indices of 13 countries.  Each country’s cash index measures the total return of a notional, rolling, daily investment in a 3-month constant maturity deposit in such country’s currency.  Indices cannot be purchased directly by investors.

J.P. Morgan Domestic High Yield Index
The JPMorgan Domestic High Yield Index is an unmanaged index of high yield fixed income securities issued by developed countries.

J.P. Morgan EMBI Global Diversified Index
The J.P. Morgan Emerging Market Bond Index Global Diversified Index is a composite index representing an unleveraged investment in emerging market bonds that is broadly based across the spectrum of emerging market bonds and includes reinvestment of income (to represent real assets).

J.P. Morgan GBI EM Global Diversified Index (Linked)
The index returns for the Oppenheimer Emerging Market Local Debt Fund are made up of the returns of the (i) J.P. Morgan GBI EM Global Diversified Index from January 1, 2014 to present and (ii) 70% J.P. Morgan Government Bond/30% J.P. Morgan EM Bond Global Diversified for the period from inception until December 31, 2013.  The J.P. Morgan Government Bond Index-Emerging Markets Global Diversified is a comprehensive, global local Emerging Markets Index, and consists of regularly traded, liquid fixed-rate, domestic currency government bonds to which international investors can gain exposure.  The J.P. Morgan Emerging Markets Bond Index Global Diversified is a composite index representing an unleveraged investment in emerging market bonds that is broadly based across the spectrum of emerging market bonds and includes reinvestment of income (to represent real assets).

MSCI AC World Index
The MSCI AC World Index is a free float-adjusted market capitalization weighted index that is designed to measure the equity market performance of developed and emerging markets.

MSCI AC World ex-U.S. Index
The MSCI AC World ex-U.S. Index is designed to measure the equity market performance of developed and emerging markets and excludes the U.S.

MSCI AC World ex-U.S. Small Cap Index 
The MSCI AC World Ex U.S.A. Small Cap Index is designed to measure the equity market performance of small capitalization developed and emerging markets, excluding the United States.

MSCI EAFE Index (Europe, Australasia, Far East) 
The MSCI EAFE Index (Europe, Australasia, Far East) is designed to measure the equity market performance of developed markets, excluding the U.S. and Canada.

MSCI Emerging Markets Index
The MSCI Emerging Markets Index is designed to measure equity market performance of emerging markets.

MSCI World Index
The MSCI World Index is designed to measure the equity market performance of developed markets.

Philadelphia Gold & Silver Index (Linked)
The index returns for the Gold & Special Minerals Fund are made up of the returns of (i) the NYSE Arca Gold Miners Index through June 30, 2011, and (ii) the Philadelphia Gold & Silver Index from July 1, 2011 to present. Index performance includes total returns from when first available. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index is an index of sixteen precious metals mining companies that is traded on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. The NYSE Arca Gold Miners Index is a modified market capitalization weighted index comprised of publicly traded companies involved primarily in the mining for gold and silver.

Russell 1000® Index
The Russell 1000® Index measures the performance of the large-cap segment of the U.S. equity universe. It is a subset of the Russell 3000® Index and includes approximately 1,000 of the largest securities based on a combination of their market cap and current index membership. The Russell 1000® represents approximately 92% of the Russell 3000® Index.

Russell 1000® Growth Index
The Russell 1000® Growth Index measures the performance of the large-cap growth segment of the U.S. equity universe. It includes those Russell 1000 companies with higher price-to-book ratios and higher forecasted growth values.

Russell 1000® Value Index
The Russell 1000® Value Index measures the performance of the large-cap value segment of the U.S. equity universe. It includes those Russell 1000 companies with lower price-to-book ratios and lower expected growth values. 

Russell 2000 Index®
The Russell 2000 Index®  the performance of the small-cap segment of the U.S. equity universe. The Russell 2000 Index is a subset of the Russell 3000 Index representing approximately 10% of the total market capitalization of that index. It includes approximately 2000 of the smallest securities based on a combination of their market cap and current index membership. For Main Street Small Cap Fund/VA only, the index performance is linked to the Russell 2500 Growth Index prior to April 1, 2013.

Russell 2000® Growth Index
The Russell 2000® Growth Index measures the performance of the small-cap growth segment of the U.S. equity universe. It includes those Russell 2000 companies with higher price-to-book ratios and higher forecasted growth values.

Russell 2500® Index 
The Russell 2500® Index measures the performance of the small- to mid-cap segment of the U.S. equity universe, commonly referred to as "smid" cap. The Russell 2500 is a subset of the Russell 3000 Index. It includes approximately 2500 of the smallest securities based on a combination of their market cap and current index membership.

Russell 2500® Growth Index
The Russell 2500® Growth Index measures the performance of the small- to mid-cap growth segment of the U.S. equity universe. It includes those Russell 2500 companies with higher price-to-book ratios and higher forecasted growth values.

Russell 2500™ Value Index 
The Russell 2500™ Value Index measures the performance of the small- to mid-cap value segment of the U.S. equity universe. It includes those Russell 2500 Index companies with lower price-to-book ratios and lower forecasted growth values.

Russell 3000® Index
The Russell 3000® Index measures the performance of the largest 3,000 U.S. companies, representing approximately 98% of the investable U.S. equity market.

Russell 3000® Value Index 
The Russell 3000® Value Index measures the performance of the broad value segment of the U.S. equity universe. It includes those Russell 3000 companies with lower price-to-book ratios and lower forecasted growth values.

Russell MidCap (Linked) Growth Index®
The Russell Midcap (Linked) Growth Index® measures the performance of the mid-cap growth segment of the U.S. equity universe. It includes those Russell Midcap Index companies with higher price-to-book ratios and higher forecasted growth values. The index returns for Discovery Mid Cap Growth Fund are made up of the returns of (i) the Russell 2500™ Growth Index from November 1, 2000 through June 30, 2013 and (ii) the Russell Midcap® Growth Index from July 1, 2013 to present. S&P 500® Index 
The S&P 500® Index is a capitalization-weighted index of 500 stocks intended to be a representative sample of leading companies in leading industries within the U.S. economy the index includes reinvestment of dividends but does not include fees, expenses, or taxes.

35% Russell 3000 Index®/65% Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond Index (Capital Income Fund, Capital Income Fund/VA)
Please refer to the descriptions listed previously.  For Capital Income Fund/VA only, prior to April 1, 2013, the index performance is linked to a blend of 60% S&P 500 Index and 40% Barclays Aggregate Index.

30% Russell 1000 Index®/ 30% MSCI AC World ex-U.S. Index/ 20% Barclays U.S. Aggregate Index/20% Barclays Multiverse ex-U.S. Index (Global Allocation Fund)
The Barclays Multiverse ex-U.S. Index provides a broad-based measure of the global fixed-income bond market. The index represents the union of the Global Aggregate Index and the Global High-Yield Index and captures investment grade and high yield securities in all eligible currencies. Standalone indices such as the Euro Floating-Rate ABS Index and the Chinese Aggregate Index are excluded. The Multiverse Index family includes a wide range of standard and customized subindices by sector, quality, maturity, and country. The Multiverse Index was created on January 1, 2001, with index history backfilled to January 1, 1999. For other index components, please refer to the descriptions listed previously.

50% Citi non-US World Government Bond/30% J.P. Morgan GBI-EM Global Diversified/20% J.P. Morgan EMBI Global Diversified (International Bond Fund)
The Reference Index is a customized weighted index comprised of 50% of the Citigroup Non-U.S. World Government Bond Index, 30% of the J.P. Morgan GBI EM Global Diversified Bond Index and 20% of the J.P. Morgan EMBI Global Diversified Bond Index.  From January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2011, the underlying Reference Index weights were 70% Citigroup Non-U.S. World Government Bond Index, 20% J.P. Morgan GBI EM Global Diversified Bond Index and 10% J.P. Morgan EMBI Global Diversified Bond Index.  The Reference Index returns reflect the weightings in effect for the time periods for which Fund returns are disclosed, and weightings prior to January 1, 2012 are not restated.
