The single greatest challenge to running any business is that you spend the lion share of your day doing the things that you should do—those things for which you have the greatest talent and passion, and that will have the most dramatic impact on your clientele and practice. The larger and more complex your practice, the more challenging this becomes; size breeds complexity, and complexity diffuses your focus. In the previous exercise you each assessed your broad areas of expertise, but now we want you to isolate the 3-5 things that only you CAN and SHOULD do, along with the 3-5 things you must modify, delegate or discontinue so you can focus on your critical few objectives.
